In Middleton and Pocahontas two posses with hundreds of men pursue a Negro charged with slashing a 15 year old school girl and attempting to assault her. Local man subdues robber after holdup at Willmering home

One Jailed After Amarillo Liquor Haul Uncovered
Sheriff deputies raided a garage at 1005 Louisiana Street and seized a hidden compartment containing 25 gallons of liquor in five tins 212 points of bonded whiskey including Waterfill and Frazier Bourbon and Straight American 16 quarts and 25 pints of champagne eight quarts of port and three quarts of Benedictine wine valued at over 23500.
