New Drive From Saar Printers Union Still On
Amarillo union printers continuing a continuous session at WOW Hall since yesterday afternoon. No type is set at Globe-News since 3:50 PM yesterday as negotiations over a 35 hour week contract stall. Union seeks 35 hour work week with 15 percent pay raise and overtime at time and a half. management offers 34 hour week with about 17 percent raise. Tex Smith, local union president, reports amicable talks ahead.
