Services for David Henry Jones who died at his home in San Jon New Mexico were held at the San Jon Methodist Church. He was 67 and survived by his wife son Arba W. Jones five sisters and two brothers with roots in Norton Kansas and Oklahoma. He was one of the area’s earliest settlers arriving in 1907.

North Amarillo Kiwanis Club held a Tuesday noon meeting at Bennett Hall with Ralph Roush presenting the financial report. Music by Jim Jackson and Miss Page Nicklaus accompanied, Dana Roush read two pieces, and Orla Allen praised the North Amarillo Club's work. A new member, &. Dunlap, was introduced, with visiting Kiwanians from San Jacinto and Amarillo clubs attending.
