Brock Leads Air Race Start From Los Angeles To Chicago
William Brock, flying a Lockheed Vega, led the Los Angeles to Chicago non-stop race with Lee Shoenhair close behind. Both pilots departed from Los Angeles at 4 55 a m in the National Air Races event, broadcasting by radio with Robert W Brown aboard Brock s craft.
