Details released by the Army in Manila confirm Sergeant Ronald Ray McCullough of Amarillo Texas was fatally shot near Manila in Central Luzon. He died of head wounds after an ambush on a jeep returning from a recreational trip with the Fourth Signal Service Group. A companion was critically wounded. another survived with treatment. McCullough, born December 25 1926 in Lawton Oklahoma, served since 1944 and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He is survived by his parents, a sister Norma and a brother Pat.
