Dallas attorney Martin Winfrey testified at Burford removal hearing that he obtained signed orders for oil at Seymour Weiss’s New Orleans office under a Louisiana conservation order raising Rodessa field output from 4500 to 20000 barrels daily. He said Dr. J A Shaw signed the orders and that Weiss, Burford, and others were present. The witness noted Weiss denied Standard Oil control, and Burford claimed no payment to Weiss was made.
