East Texas crude offered at 10 to 15 cents a barrel with loading racks in the district. Freight adds 34 to 36 cents a barrel, making delivered cost about 50 cents in Oklahoma City. Within 48 hours only one refinery may operate unless new crude arrives. Black Gold refinery holds 15 to 20 days of supply. Governor Murray silent on action as George B. Roscoe reports.
The Texas House voted 101 to 19 to report for passage the Wagstaff administration oil and gas conservation bill. It fixes an oil gas production ratio, forbids waste, speeds protests, and allows rotable reduction of waste. The measure needs Senate support of 21 votes to become effective.

Privates Joe Taylor and Bill Miller were found sleeping under a Sinclair well derrick during Gov. William H. Murray's occupation force. They were arrested and may face court martial or guardhouse. The Lindberghs landed at Ak la vik Northwest Territories at 3 05 AM PST completing a 1115 mile hop from Baker Lake. They left Baker Lake last night at 6 35 PM EST for a total travel time about eleven and one half hours. Crowds cheered as Colonel Lindbergh assisted his wife from the plane on the muddy shore.
The Phillips Petroleum pipeline from Borger Texas to Monsanto Illinois opens with a ceremonial spigot. The 800 mile line was built at a cost of 15 million dollars and includes a 3 million dollar terminal at Monsanto.

In Van Buren Arkansas Frisco No 703 Southbend wreck killed engineer Lee Keithley of Monett Missouri and fireman William Weeks of Fort Smith Arkansas. No passengers were injured. An investigation into the switch incident is underway.
Berlin reports the restart of all private banks and 2600 municipal savings banks with little activity critiquing fears. A United Press tour found no runs and deposits exceeding withdrawals at most banks, and police presence was largely idle.

Lefors Tex Aug 5 The Lefors post office safe was robbed of 40 dollars last night. Robbers hauled the safe a mile from the office and broke it open taking only cash. A suspect was said to be held by officers at Pampa while stamps and securities in the safe were left intact.
The seaplane DO X on a New York bound flight landed at Caravellas Rio de Janeiro at 11 30 A M local time with ten passengers aboard. The craft will stay overnight in Bah a before its next scheduled stop.
Officers sought the identity of an aged man found dead face down on a sack of corn eight miles south of Brownwood Texas. Passersby noticed the scene when a pair of burros hitched to a covered wagon drew attention at the roadside. The man wore a long white beard a blue shirt and worn shoes.
The forecast shows fair conditions for Amarillo tonight and Thursday with partial cloudiness. West Texas generally fair. New Mexico unsettled tonight and Thursday with showers and thunderstorms in the north portion and little temperature change. Police and citizens hunted Mountain Brook Alabama for a Black assailant who forced three girls to drive to a lonely spot and opened fire. Augusta Williams 22 died at St Vincent's. Jennie Wood 18 wounded critically. Nell Williams 18 wounded but drove to safety.
Police said a man was found shot to death on West Beach north of the picnic ground during a Sunday holiday crowd. The corpse bore Leavenworth prison papers with the name Bam Martin but the identity was not yet confirmed.
Pim Charles Howard, a Black man, was jailed in Longview Texas on a charge of driving while drunk after an automobile crash on the Marshall highway killed Mrs. Luther Matthews, 22, of Tullos Louisiana, yesterday.
Meteor showers of 50 to 100 shooting stars per hour expected next Tuesday night after midnight August 11 12 high in the northeastern sky from the Perseus constellation. Observers should count by half hours and report bright meteors and tails to Dr Olivier at Flower Observatory University of Pennsylvania Philadelphia.
