Amarillo youth James disarms officers and escapes in commandeered car
Amarillo boy James disarmed two Fort Worth officers last Sunday, freed himself from handcuffs, and fled in a commandeered car with a Thompson sub machine gun, a .45 revolver, and a .32 pistol. Reverend E F Cook earned credit for James surrendering. The plan had been for Cook to hand James to Sheriff Bill Adams for transfer to Tarrant County.

Bus Crash on Memorial Bridge Injures Sixty
An estimated 60 people were injured when a commuter bus plowed through a heavy stone railing on Memorial Bridge over the Potomac and landed upside down in a driveway 30 feet below during the morning rush near the Lincoln Memorial. Man Naps on Silo Catwalk in Rockford Do Not Disturb Gaffe
