Marriage Too Easy In Texas Says Judge

Houston April 30. District Judge Kenneth McCalla finds marriage in Texas too easy and divorce harder. Based on 1,000 cases, 42 percent of divorces involved couples together less than six months, 71 percent under a year, with many marriages of convenience and soldiers wedlock. Childless couples predominate in divorce courts. Also in Los Angeles, Dottie Donnelly defends $1,850 dog bite suit by presenting her German shepherd Pat as alibi. Judge Robert Clifton weighs the case.
