Donald Glen Doggett two year old son of Mr and Mrs J G Doggett of Pampa died this morning in a local hospital. He is survived by a brother Jerry and three grandparents A C La Velle of San Antonio and Mr and Mrs D C Doggett of Hale Center. Funeral services set for tomorrow afternoon at Dunkeil Carmichael Funeral Home in Pampa. Body transported to Pampa by Blackburn Shaw.

Funeral rites for John Alvin Hewitt who died yesterday afternoon at his daughter’s home 1612 Washington Street will be held tomorrow at 3 PM from Boxwell Brothers Chapel. Dr R C Snodgrass of First Christian Church will officiate with pallbearers listed. Hewitt a former resident of Cleburne Texas was a retired school teacher and member of the Central Church of Christ and the Masonic Order. He is survived by his wife and his daughter. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Mrs Annie E Jones wife of Lee Jones died this morning at 9 20 at the family home in Vega aged 63 a Vega resident since 1920 she came from Stratford Okla She is survived by husband son Ray Jones daughter Mamie Ballard and two grandsons Walter Lee Ballard and Joe Russell Ballard Funeral services will be held at Vega Baptist Church tomorrow at 3 30 with ministers L E Godwin Jordan Grooms and Vick Allen officiating Burial will be in Vega Cemetery under N S Griggs and Sons guidance
Amarillo has paid over 7900 toward a 39500 purchase of 735 meters partly in service. Five meters were free per 100 ordered. As of yesterday 75 percent of receipts totaled 9512.88, per city auditor J. C. Lilly.
Funeral services for Mrs Mary McSpadden Yancey will be held Thursday at 4 PM from N S Griggs and Sons Chapel. She died Saturday night in a Washington DC hospital and was well known in Amarillo where she lived 1901 1919 and 1930 1931. The body arrives by Santa Fe at 2 15 PM and will be received by N S Griggs and Sons.
Commercial sugar users are registering at Amarillo Senior High School with teachers and some students assisting. Classes were suspended to accommodate the registration process. Consumers will register on May 4.
