Streets around North Amarillo park between 8th and 9th streets on Buchanan Street have been graded and water piped into the park. City manager Jeff D. Bartlett announced plans for planting shrubs and beetle soon with water supplied by the city.
Plainview April 20 Special to The Glabe B Wend rick owner of the top producing milk cow in Hale County won the Dairy Association prize and a registered bull calf from Metzger Brothers of Dallas. The contest ran December 1 to April 1 noting high producing cows owned by M T Curtis Plainview Pat Con valley Hale Center and Clyde Phillips Hale Center.
Detroit April 25 Lawrence P Fisher selected by General Motors as president and general manager of Cadillac Motor Car Company. The 56 year old, noted for executive talent at Fisher Body and GM, has long led with his brothers in the family firm and now rises to helm Cadillac in a move seen as highly significant in the automotive industry.
The city camp ground, installed last year, reports a 31.55 lop for the year and expects good profits this season. Germany shifts glue production to bead form rather than cakes or tablets.

NORTH AMARILLO and Buchanan Street Methodist Missionary societies hold a joint session at the Buchanan Street church at 3 PM. The Varent-Teacher club will hold a candy sale at the school house on Tuesday to finance the school cafeteria. Miss Trevie Padgett of Mempria visits her sister Mrs Troy Archer at 02 North Pierce Street. Mrs Harry Calvert and son George depart for a ten day visit to Oklahoma City and Yukon, Oklahoma. The W M A of the Second Baptist church will meet at the church.
