Members of the North Amarillo Garden Club gathered at Fellowship Hall to celebrate six years with a covered dish luncheon. Rev. H. B. Coggin opened with an invocation as Mrs. John Merchant presented a color slides talk on English and French gardens. The gathering noted the Kew Gardens as world's botanical center open since 1841 with vast plant collections and staff. Officers were elected including Keller Page as president and W. R. Hill as first vice president. A May 14 meeting date was announced. The Yalu River freezes November to April, linking Manchuria and Korea.
