Wife of Fort Worth shortstop dies in mysterious fire
Mrs. Charles Engle wife of the Fort Worth Panthers shortstop died after a duplex fire in Fort Worth. Investigators found her almost nude body outside the door five hours after the blaze. Gas lines were inspected with no leaks and the only flame was the hot water heater pilot light. Engle was en route from Tulsa when notified and Umpire Joe Pate rushed to the scene.
