Wichita boosters to visit Amarillo for goodwill tour
More than 150 Wichita businessmen travel by special train to Amarillo arriving at 9 am Thursday from Tucumcari for a welcoming program led by Mayor Ernest Q. Thompson. The delegation includes the American Legion band and Chamber of Commerce quartet. The train left Wichita Monday at 1 am and will return Friday.

Funeral for Borger Man in West Virginia
The body of Earl Ross Lawrence an employee of Panhandle Power and Light Borger who died after being struck by an automobile on the Panhandle Highway will be sent to West Virginia for burial. Lawrence's father is en route to accompany the body. J R Selders 828 Florida Street was the driver of the car that struck Lawrence he said another car’s lights blinded him.

Santa Fe to Pampa Field Mainline Construction Planned
Work will start immediately on Santa Fe’s new line from Heaton seven miles east of Pampa south into Gray County oil field near LeFors. The Inter state Commerce Commission granted the permit yesterday for 8.63 miles of mainline track with 90 pound steel and 1.72 miles of sidetracks at an estimated cost of 350000 dollars. The line will serve oil field operations and carbon black plants around LeFors.
