Adequate Water Supply Assured for Ross Rogers Course
The Ross Rogers golf course will gain an independent water source after the city commission accepted D L McDonald’s plan to drill a test well. Located at the northwest corner of the course, the well should yield 500 gallons per minute on a 24 hour test at a contract price of 9550 dollars. If approved, the 40 day completion will supply irrigation for greens tees and small areas while the city supply continues meanwhile. Greens are in excellent shape though fairways are still without seeding. The course currently has about 150 members, with weekend turnout about double that.
