Washington April 8. A conference of senators and congressmen from Texas Colorado Oklahoma Kansas and New Mexico led by Rep. Marvin Jones Amarillo Texas approved a resolution to earmark not less than 150000000 of the 4000000000 public works fund for soil erosion control. They named a biState committee to coordinate with officials and push erosion work with an estimated 50000000 to be spent next year and 100000000 the following year.

Sam Vaughn Funeral Held in Amarillo
Sam B. Vaughn a 57 year old Amarillo businessman and sportsman died early yesterday at a Dallas hospital. Final honors were to be paid at 4 PM at the First Baptist Church with Rev. E. B. Fincher officiating assisted by Bishop E. C. Seaman and other local pastors and friends. His body arrived in Amarillo this morning from Dallas.
