A Transcontinental Western Air liner carrying 14 people crashed near Uniontown Pennsylvania killing eleven. Only the hostess Miss N H Granger and two passengers survived she phoned TWA offices from Uniontown.
In Vera Cruz Mexico authorities say at least ten people died when a railway bridge near Paso Del Macho was bombed sending the Vera Cruz to Mexico City night train into a 40 foot ravine. About 40 passengers were reportedly burned in the wreckage.
The Republican National Committee denied financing opposition to Sen. William Borah in the Wisconsin Presidential primary and repudiated use of party funds. Wisconsin voters choose between Borah supporters and an uninstructed national convention delegate slate. Curtis said funds used for campaigns should not finance primary contests and noted complaints from Borah organizers. The War Department allocated $35,000 for repair work on the south jetty at Galveston harbor.

In Gladewater eight people were injured when a boiler exploded in a negro section wrecking two houses. Tony Passmore and L A Ruffner were seriously hurt. Jeff Parrish lightly hurt. All workers belonged to a Kilgore swabbing crew operating on an adjacent oil lease. Damages run to several thousand dollars.
Funeral services for Miss Juani ta Hutson aged 24 will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. from the First Baptist Church in Panhandle. She died in an Amarillo hospital after a Sunday night automobile accident near Panhandle. Mrs. Davis Ramey, injured in the crash, was in St. Anthony’s Hospital with her condition improving from critical to out of danger. Rev. W. S. McClung will conduct the rites, Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home to direct burial in Panhandle cemetery.
Rome reports Gen. Rodolfo Graziani, Italian commander in chief in southern Ethiopia, ready to drive on Jijiga Harar and the Addis Ababa Djibouti railway with air and land forces. Some expect a separate force to seize Addis Ababa to topple the government. An announced Sasa Baneh raid near Jijiga and Harar is seen as a final prelude to a marching order.
Ecuador informed Italy it would suspend sanctions as it accepts the League of Nations peace talks offer. The move comes as Ecuador, a League Council member, joins the 13 member committee in Geneva to pursue peace in the Italian–Ethiopian War.

Ivan F. Hunter secretary treasurer of the International Seamen's Union was ordered to appear in municipal court today to answer an accusation of conspiracy to commit murder. Police said he plotted to kill Earl King secretary of a marine workers union in an inter faction dispute. Hunter called it a frame up.
