Seven Star Mother Almost Loses Her Hand Bag

Mrs. Flora Gray of Alton Illinois, hailed as the nation’s seven star mother, nearly lost a hand bag on a Santa Fe train trip to Amarillo. The bag was misplaced in the wrong car and was taken to Quanah before the owner realized and recovered it.

Bataan Defence Halts New Japanese Sea and Land Drive

In hard fighting at Bataan Lieutenant General Wainwright’s troops repelled a new Japanese assault supported by tanks artillery and dive bombers.
