Most buyers rise to the higher crude and retail prices though a few holdouts are expected to post the increase soon. Regular gasoline at 16 cents, third grade 12 cents, anti knock 19 cents.
Houston reports Gulf coast producers joined the dollar oil trend with a 14 cent per barrel price rise by the Texas Company. Vice President T. J. Donoghue said the new schedule effective April 1 sets top Gulf Coast crude at 1.00 dollar for 40 gravity and above and the lowest price at 0.80 dollar for below 26 gravity.
Three McKinney men died in a gasoline truck crash on the Neches River detour bridge seven miles from Tyler. Royce Brazeal age 29 drove the first truck. Brazeal Sr. age 50, father of the driver, and Royce Brazeal Jr. age 3 were in the second truck. Fire followed a ruptured drain pipe and a rear-vehicle explosion. the first driver escaped by jumping into the river.
An official cornerstone raising will occur this week as workers reach the stone of the old courthouse. County Judge Sam B Mollon announces the event with a call to all craftsmen from 28 years ago. Pioneers expected include Lon D Marrs W A Campbell G Landis Charles Christoph S P McKinney G A McKinney Jimmie Hutchinson and C B Lambie. County Commissioners will meet to plan the ceremony.
Amarillo police captured a 13 year old boy after he waved a long barrel pistol and swore loudly on North West Eleventh Avenue. Bystanders included a minister. the bandit group ranged from 9 to 13 years old. He possessed two toy pistols and a nonfunctional long gun. Parents took him home after police notified them.

In Montclair New Jersey on April 4 Mrs Raymond P Fosdick sister in law of Rev Harry Emerson Fosdick shot and killed her two small children and herself at her home Neighbors heard shots around 9 30 am Police said Mrs Fosdick had been very nervous and under medical care Her husband a lawyer and brother of the noted New York pastor was away and believed to be in New York
Fire in Rush Springs Oklahoma destroyed the grade school and two nearby stores. The loss is estimated at 50000 dollars. The blaze began in an upper attic of a store building and is considered of mysterious origin. About 400 pupils were moved to emergency quarters for classes today.
Col. Charles A. Lindbergh returned to his Sourland Hills estate early today after a secret 24 hour pursuit linked to his missing baby. State police and Lindbergh offered no details about the trip as reporters accompanied a car carrying journalists.
