Four Die As Train Collides With Car In Forsythe Crossing
Four persons were killed and another fatally injured when a nickel plate train struck an automobile at the Forsythe crossing in Forsythe. Victims include Virginia Garber fourteen and Mrs J F Bauman forty two from Erie Pennsylvania, J and Mrs W J Serry of Philadelphia. Boltz the driver lies in hospital not expected to recover. The crash occurred with the car blocked by freight cars on an adjacent track.

Negro Charged With Attack on Woman Is Held
John Goff, a black convict, was captured near Hickory North Carolina on a charge of attacking an elderly white woman near Spruce Pine last Wednesday. He was held for Raleigh. Police say he denied the assault but admitted luring the woman from her home to steal a pair of shoes, a case that led to state troops being dispatched to Spruce Pine.

Walton Orders Postponement Of Election
