Carroll Purvines Dies After 47 Years on High Plains
Carroll Purvines of Panhandle died after a year and a half of ill health. Born in Pleasant Plains Tl he moved to Texas in 1901, ran a ranch near Panhandle, and stayed active in business. He was a Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association member and married Kate Blanche Irwin in 1903. Survived by widow Blanche, three daughters, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral arrangements pending.
