In Korea four years after a Vega boy showed a calf at Amarillo, Leslye J. Valentine joins the Army. He turns 17 on Oct 13 and ships to Guam then Pusan with a quartermaster battalion. Summer raids near a former Japanese rest camp test unit nerve as Korean Red infiltrators strike.
