Randall County repeat ed its county exhibit triumph with first place in the county exhibits. Hemphill and Hartley counties placed second and third as judges praised the high quality of the agricultural displays. Delegations from Childress Clarendon McLean Vega and Quanah enjoyed bands, radio broadcasts, and field exhibits throughout the exposition. The show featured grain sorghum prizes with Randall county leading in total points.

J H Branard former registrar custodian of securities for the Federal Land Bank Intermediate Credit Bank and four joint stock land banks of Texas admits embezzling nineteen 1000 dollar bonds. He says he tired of same old bills and debts and bonds were returned to banks who will get their money back. He faced charges after authorities alleged misuse of bonds for personal use.

Anonymous tip leads to arrest of C B Hankins in Lubbock
An anonymous telephone tip to Hankins wife in Levelland directed officers to a hotel in Lubbock where the 80 year old Plainview carpenter preacher was found. Hankins had disappeared August 20 between Amarillo and Plainview and admitted his mind had been blank until days earlier in Oklahoma City.
