Twelve cases on the federal criminal docket were disposed of yesterday as a crowded courtroom heard narcotic, liquor, forgery and white slavery charges. W H Griffin of Shreveport was convicted of narcotic violation and sentenced to 18 months at Leavenworth. Dr F D Ramsey of Amarillo pled guilty to selling morphine prescriptions and got 18 months there. Other defendants faced light penalties or pled guilty, including Lloyd Steele to 30 days in Potter County jail and J M Carruth to five days for white slavery involving Agnes Lusk.

Boy dies after fall from wagon near Zyback Texas
Jack Tipps 15 son of Mount Tipps of Canadian Texas was killed when he fell from a wagon and was dragged by horses near Zyback. He suffered a crushed skull and neck broken back. The accident occurred as he rode home from a field with his younger brother who jumped clear. Funeral services were held at Zyback church with surviving father, brother and two sisters.
