Hudson, N Y. Mr and Mrs William Sprokey mourn Friday for a Korean orphan baby who was their daughter for only a few hours. The Sorokeys had planned to adopt two abandoned children named Sung Seok Chun and Michael. They were delayed by an airline strike and waited at Kennedy Airport to pick up the children. On arrival they drove to Poughkeepsie then home where the girl reportedly drank milk as if starving.

Indians Lose Another Fight in Chinatown Park Incident
Police ended a chaotic scene in Per shing Square as Norman Ochoa of El Paso, claiming to be a seven star general, surrendered after brandishing a wooden sword. Ochoa, dressed in black with frayed medals, attempted to seize Indian Territory claims before officers intervened. three bystanders joined the fray but were unable to remove him from the fountain.
