Livestock judging begins with Angus cattle at 8 a.m. and Jersey cattle at 1 p.m. State Angus sale at 2 30 p.m. Palo Duro High School band performs at 6 30 p.m. Water Follies aquacade and stage show at 8 p.m. Admission is 50 cents for adults and 10 cents for children.

Couple Hurt as Car Hits Train at Stockyards Crossing
A car driven by 24 year old Walter D. Stephens and his wife Victoria, 24, struck a Rock Island freight train at a railroad crossing near the Western Stockyards in Amarillo. Both occupants were thrown from the vehicle and injured. Walter suffered possible skull fracture and broken ribs, Victoria head lacerations. They were taken to St. Anthony's Hospital. Walter's condition described as satisfactory and Victoria as good before transfer to Amarillo Air Force Base Hospital.
