Truck Driver Robbed of Sit by Lone Bandit
Special to The News reports Charles Little driver for Portales Bakery and A F Randall of Bovina were robbed by a lone bandit on Highway 60 four miles west of Bovina at noon. The bandit, using a rifle and pistol, took about $40 from Little and kept the checks. Randall was unsearched. The robber forced a stop, ordered them to move into a pasture near a dry lake bed, and had Little keep hands on the wheel as they steered to a right cross road.
