The ZMC-2 all metal dirigible landed at Lakehurst New Jersey after a 550 mile Detroit to Lakehurst flight. Captain William Kepner led a crew of three as two bullet holes were found in the gas chamber letting helium escape. Bags were placed in the holes to curb leakage while repairs were planned.
