Wreck on Rock Island injures 24 in Missouri
Twenty four passengers were injured when a Rock Island east bound train No 40 left the track near Centaur Missouri eighty three miles west of St Louis. A Pullman car rolled down a 20 foot embankment into the Missouri river and rested in water. Rescue teams prevented fatalities. Conductor W E Dunlop of Eldon attributed the wreck to a sun kink from heat expansion.
