J T Thompson, a tenant farmer seven miles east of Turkey, was shot dead at his home. John Moses, farm owner, faced murder charges and bonded out for $7,000 after waiving a preliminary hearing. Thompson died instantly as two witnesses refused to speak, and Moses offered no public statement. The body was moved to the Turkey undertaking parlors for funeral plans.
