Amarillo police arrested Head for theft from person in October 1943 with FBI records lacking disposition. Inducted March 31 1944, he faced absence without leave at Camp Gruber Oklahoma in December 1944 and received 30 days post prison. He faced May 1947 arrest for robbery by assault but was not indicted. later jailed in August 1947 for carrying a pistol.
