In Richmond, a hearing for two soldiers charged with armed holdup and kidnapping four teens was continued to Sept 10 as detainers arrive. the suspects include Frank Famular and Clarence Kummert. Teague was forced to drive the abductors’ car after they attacked the driver and pulled another girl from the vehicle.

Amputee Dies At Car Wheel
Pfc. Marvin E. Ludwig 25 from Kansas City Mo. died in a crash at a New York Central crossing near Hudson Michigan while driving a 1946 car built for amputees. The collision also killed two others. Ludwig had owned the vehicle only a week and was a patient at Percy Jones Hospital Battle Creek.
