Missing federal officer Ray Sutton vanishes near Raton
Ray Sutton, a former Union County sheriff and federal prohibition agent, disappeared August 28 after last being seen in Raton. His clothes and luggage were found in a Raton hotel and search parties from Raton and Clayton scoured the surrounding mountains without success. Sutton’s son joined the Raton search as officers seek any trace of him.
