Miss Cindy Close Crowned Miss Stratford at Fair Festivities
The 17 year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Jim Close was named Miss Stratford to lead Sherman County Fair and Jamboree opening events. The three day run kicks off Thursday with ceremonies and pageantry through the weekend.

Car Ride Puts Boy In Jail
Patrolmen Clifton and Favenson pursued a car north of Canyon on the Expressway about 1 30 a m Sunday. The speeding vehicle exited to Georgia Street then back to the expressway and swerved into a residential yard hitting the Levy home garage. The driver Lee and two passengers were uninjured while Lee was charged with speeding.
