Woman Injured In Auto Crash North Of Amarillo
Mrs. FE Baldwin of eighteen miles north of Canadian was treated at St. Anthony's Hospital for a broken collarbone and other injuries after a Ford coupe collided with a large car on the Panhandle highway six miles north of Amarillo at 8 o'clock last night. The other vehicle fled the scene. local police were notified to locate the hit and run driver.

French Air Minister Kokanowski Dies In Plane Crash
Paris reports Maurice Bokanowski, minister of commerce and aviation, killed when a Spad bi plane crashed near Toul after takeoff for Clermont Ferrand. Four others perished including pilot Gabriel Hanin and mechanic Jean Vidal as bodies were recovered from the wreckage. Bennie Grange the University of Texas airport pilot died after a plane crashed from about 100 feet shortly after takeoff in Austin. Two passengers Mrs C L Frost and her husband were slightly hurt with Mrs Frost possibly injured internally. The accident was blamed on a sudden blast of air as the plane tried to gain altitude.
