Two Die In Wichita Falls Plane Crash Near Seymour

Three Soldiers Killed in Fort Jackson Explosion
At Fort Jackson South Carolina on August 31 three soldiers were killed and 23 injured three critically while a company of recruits marched to a machine gun demonstration. Capt. Anderson P. Neely said a full investigation is in progress and few details will be released. Names of the dead and injured were withheld. The blast occurred at 12 45 PM along a road to the post air strip. First aid was given at the scene and ambulances transported the injured to the station hospital.
