Schoolboy killed in Panhandle highway accident
Pred Ayers, 12, Panhandle schoolboy, died after being struck by a car while in a cart with kindling along the Panhandle Borger highway one mile north of Panhandle. Doctors said a brain clot caused his death. his body was crushed and his leg broken. The driver, Bob Bradshaw, said the boy stepped into the road as he approached. The boy was the son of Mrs. Lala Ayers of Panhandle. Funeral services had not been arranged tonight.
