In the Quitaque High School newsletter bank executive notes 98 percent daily attendance for the just completed year. Freshmen averaged 98.72 percent, sophomores 98.75, juniors 98.79, and seniors 98.27. Over one third of freshmen and over a third of sophomores and juniors earned perfect cards, with 55 percent of seniors perfect. The junior class set records including a semester with one absence. Four seniors never missed a day in four years: James Starkey, Robert Phelps, Tommie Lou Johnson, and Dellis Monk. Johnny Helms, Charles Barret missed one day. Sammie Johnston missed two.
