ENMU Names 2 Year President Mover In Portales
Dr Donald Mover, secretary of the State Board of Educational Finance, is named president of Eastern New Mexico University on a two year contract. Regents set first year pay at 16000 plus a 1980 housing subsidy with a second year pay agreement to be announced later. Moyer, 41, succeeds Dr Floyd Golden, 62, who resigned May 23. Golden will remain on payroll until year end as adviser.

Mantle Injured in Field Mob After Doubleheader
New York Yankee center fielder Mickey Mantle suffered a badly sprained jaw after a mob rushed the field following a Monday doubleheader with Washington. He fought through the crowd to the dugout, received ice packs, and was sent to hospital for X rays which showed no fracture. A team physician said the jaw will likely ache for several days.

Two Die As Scaffold Collapse Hits Indy 500 Parade

Four year old identifies Ronnie in slain mother's case
A 4 year old boy in Tucumcari last week named a man called Ronnie as the shooter of his mother Mrs. Ruby Hayes 41 of Marrero La formerly Amarillo. The boy Mel Dean Hayes Jr 4 was found with his mother and later said Ronnie threw the gun into a ditch near the scene. El Paso police recovered the child and began arrangements to return him to Amarillo while authorities investigate the homicide.
