Cowboy Horace Miles sentenced for failure to stop
Horace Miles known as Dude, 21, near Amarillo was found guilty in district court of failure to stop and render aid after an accident. He received two years six months in the penitentiary for the killing of Pat Hooker and Mrs. Ruby Lawrence and injuring Mrs. W. M. Seymour as they walked from the Radio Skating Rink on Northeast Eighth Street. Seymour survived and testified on a stretcher. Other witnesses included truck operator N. R. Tisdell and Paul Boxwell who helped move Hooker’s body. The case relates to the early morning collision in Amarillo.
