In Angleton Texas on May 29 1924 Clyde Thompson fatally stabbed Everett Melvin a Potter County robber during a barracks brawl at Retrive Prison Farm Thompson told Captain Ike Kelley he was in trouble again as witnesses named him the killer. Melvin died before a physician arrived. Raymond Hall was stabbed several times during the outburst.
