Berlin May 26 Associated Press The German government has resigned President Ebert accepted the ministry’s resignation and asked Chancellor Marx to carry on. Ebert will confer with parliamentary leaders to select a new chancellor and form a new government Marx plans a reconstituted ministry with few changes. He intends to present it to the Reichstag and declare peace with regard to the Dawes report for House action. The resignation followed nationalist refusal to endorse the government’s policies as a prereq for a bourgeois coalition. Nationalists demand von Tirpitz head the new government and push foreign policy as a secondary issue in talks.
