Canyon voters approve 295 million school bond on third attempt
Canyon Independent School District voters approved a 295 million bond by 1,138 to 689 amid rainy weather. At Canyon Community Center support was 685 to 737, and Gene Howe Elementary backed the measure 453 to 152. Total votes 2,029, lowest in three elections. The bond funds a new 1,340,000 elementary school and district expansions.
