Richest Man Knows Hereford Getty’s money touch near Hereford

Biographer Ralph Hewins begins six articles on John Paul Getty and his money instinct. Hereford resident J Byrle Filliston recalls meeting Getty about 45 years ago in California when Getty bought land near Santa Fe Springs, later sprouting oil derricks. Sales Tax Plan Studied

A Texas tax study commission reviewed four two percent sales tax programs from the Texas Research League. The commission is led by Sen. William Fly with members Rep. V. L. Ramsey, Rep.
