Four persons are killed when a plane crashes at Cedardale Oklahoma about 25 miles northeast of Woodward. The victims include Gingerich, 46, manager at West Woodward Airport, and May Johnson, secretary for Osborn-Peebles Lumber Co. The aircraft departed from West Woodward Airport just before dawn and wreckage covered a mile square area in rough terrain.

Cafe Man Wounded by Six Shots Near Hereford
Hereford May 23 Special Tom Rowe 35 cafe operator was shot six times in the neck, legs and body and is in critical condition. A 41 year old farm hand on the Rick Conley farm north of Dawn surrendered after being urged to do so by his brother. The shooting occurred in a barn three miles west of Hereford during a quarrel that followed an earlier incident at the Anton cafe. Rowe lives in Graham and was visiting with his wife and child when attacked. An ambulance from Boxwell Brothers took him to Deaf Smith County Hospital where doctors labeled his condition serious or critical. Charges had not yet been filed.
