Crash Victim Unidentified in Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City officials sought to identify a man killed when an ice truck crashed into a tree. The deceased, about six feet tall and 175 pounds, bore initials J W on his left arm and wore two gold rings. a laundry mark read M. H. Barry. Moran Leads Continental Oil Tour Through Amarillo Visit

President Dan Moran of Continental Oil and about 40 officials arrived in Amarillo on a long inspection tour. The party traveled by a special bus from Ponca City and planned a stops in Plainview Lubbock and Gaines County before Artesia New Mexico and a 8500 mile route through 20 states.

Moore County Baby Drowns in Stock Tank Near Dumas

The 17 month old Harley Lucian Huff, son of Mr and Mrs John Huff, was found floating in a stock tank 12 miles east of Dumas while his father and landlord Floyd Elliott changed a tire. Elliott recovered the body and the infant lay in care of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home awaiting funeral plans.

Transfer of KTSA Ownership Granted to Sunshine Broadcasting

The Federal Communications Commission gave a permit for the transfer of Radio Station KTSA in San Antonio from William Randolph Hearst to the Sunshine Broadcasting Company. The Sunshine Company is Texas controlled with Ted Taylor of Amarillo as president.

40 & 8 Boxcar To Visit Dumas For Big Rodeo

Amarillo will send the American Legion 40 and 8 boxcar to Dumas for the Friday rodeo celebration. Bob Russell sponsors the boxcar with Sam Page as engineer and Frank Leach as conductor. The caravan aims for at least 100 cars, with 10 trail bosses each securing ten cars. The Sam Houston Junior High Band and Sons of the Legion Drum and Bugle Corps will march in the parade.
