Pampa Man Dies In Gun Accident
Leon K. Cowen 31 was found shot to death beside his car at 636 North Zimmer Street in Pampa. Investigating officers said the discharged .22 rifle was on the rear floor boards and a coroner’s verdict pending. Cowen had moved into a new home last Saturday and was returning with his wife from their old residence when the shooting occurred.

Wellington Man Drowns In Pony Creek Incident
Special to O. D. Holton a well known Wellington citizen drowned when his outboard motor boat lost control while fishing in Pony Creek near Lake Kemp. Sheriff Keffer said the boat jackknifed after a runaway motor hurled Holton from the skiff. Two nearby fishermen heard the crash and cries for help as the craft turned over near the creek entrance.
