Special to The News Austin May 22 Senator Clint C Small of Wellington will spend most of his gubernatorial campaign in east and south Texas with one central Texas tour. He plans to canvass the Rio Grande valley and reports positive early response. He will speak in Gainesville Thursday Greenville Friday and Wichita Falls Saturday, then Seymour Stamford and Big Spring next week before a west Texas week. He named Lee Satterwhite as campaign manager and opened state headquarters in Fort Worth. He also welcomed Thomas B Love's name on the Democratic ballot.

Boy says other car forced auto into ditch in Edmond
In Edmond Oklahoma May 22 a small boy in a car carrying Mrs J P Culver of Kalamazoo Michigan and Mrs C F Kohler of Amarillo Texas said another auto forced the machine into a ditch. Mrs Culver was fatally injured and Mrs Kohler dangerously hurt. Officers sought the other driver while hospital attendants reported Mrs Kohler had a slight chance for recovery.
