Freight Wreck Near Piqua Kills Three Trainmen

Three freight trains collided near Bradford, 15 miles west of Piqua, killing Harry J. Johnson Fred L. Trickfer and Leonard Schaefer all Logansport Indiana. Four others injured include J C Murdock Gordon Pinney Charles Bryan and Frank Messersmith in the worst wreck on this railroad in 37 years.

Four Die in Gas-Filled Dairy Well at Blackwell Oklahoma

At a dairy near Blackwell Oklahoma four men died and three others were overcome while responding to a gas-filled well accident. Texas Army Flier Killed in Pursuit Plane Crash

Nine miles north of San Antonio a P-12 single seater piloted by Reserve Second Lt. James Marion Jones 26 on active duty as a Kelly Field instructor crashed during a test flight around 11 am civilian witnesses report a spin. Brothers killed in Austin Plane Crash

Two young men from Austin died when their aircraft crashed during an aerial show. John Oatman of the Southern Pacific Railway and his brother Sneed Oatman, a hardware company employee, were killed when the engine failed and the plane fell about 100 feet. Their bodies were crushed.

The Yankee Clipper made its first regular service flight linking the old and new worlds by landing on the Tagus River in Lisbon at 7 42 P M local time after a 6 54 hour trip from the Azores. Two Portales residents died and four others were hospitalized after a Saturday night collision four miles south of Clovis on the Portales highway. Victims were Mrs. J. D. Eight Aboard In Crack Up Near Coalville Utah

An eight passenger privately owned plane en route from Chicago to Oakland crashed in a field 15 miles east of Coalville Utah killing one man. Ins E E Hughes of the Civil Aeronautics Authority said he could not identify any aboard.
