The 30 year old ex slayer of W A Tex Thornton plans to return to Munising Michigan to live with his sister in law and brother in law. He wore a hunting jacket brown slacks and a green cap. He joked with Deputy Marshal Bill Lampe about time and reviewed a statement for an Air Force officer regarding a claimed wartime incident. He said he would not have done such a thing and noted the war code of ethics.

Heroic Young Mother's Condition Still Critical
Mrs. June Ellison, 19, remains in critical condition at Clovis Memorial Hospital after a chemical fire at the Ellison farm home six miles west of Bovina. She saved her infant Mickey Don, 19 days old, by carrying him to safety before collapsing from burns on Thursday morning. Howard Ellison and his parents were at the scene as help was summoned.
